When Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former journalist Lauren Sánchez decided to tie the knot, the world expected luxury—and they delivered. From a private Venetian island to a guest list full of A-listers, the wedding exuded glamour. But what truly captivated attention was the jaw-dropping $4 million diamond ring on Sánchez’s hand, marking a dazzling start to their new chapter.
A Dazzling Diamond Worth $4 Million

As she stepped out of the Aman Hotel in Venice wearing a cream-colored two-piece suit, oversized sunglasses, and a chic headscarf, Lauren Sánchez was the embodiment of understated elegance. But it was her jewelry that did all the talking.
Close-up photos revealed two massive diamond rings on her fingers. One, a spectacular oval-cut diamond, was estimated at $4 million, making it more valuable than the already-famous pink 20-carat engagement ring Jeff Bezos gave her in 2023, valued at $2.5 million.
Jewelry expert Zack Stone from Steve Stone Jewellers described one of the rings as “a magnificent 20-carat cushion-cut diamond set in a sleek platinum band,” while the second, the oval-shaped diamond, was clearly the showstopper.
A Bracelet with a Personal Touch
Adding a sentimental twist, Sánchez was also seen wearing a delicate bracelet engraved with the initials “LB”, a symbolic nod to her soon-to-be married name: Lauren Bezos. The understated detail added emotional depth to a look already rich in elegance and luxury.
A Weekend of Glamour and A-List Guests
The wedding festivities were set to continue through the weekend, with a glittering guest list including Leonardo DiCaprio, Kim Kardashian, and Tom Brady.
The ceremony took place on San Giorgio Maggiore, a secluded Venetian island known for its 500-year-old white marble architecture and privacy—an ideal location for an exclusive event of this scale.
Crews reportedly constructed a wide white cover above the Teatro Verde, while pallets, tables, and chairs were seen being unloaded near the island’s Labyrinth of Borges, named after the Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges.
The glamorous weekend was to culminate in a private dinner on June 28 at the Arsenale di Venezia.
Bezos’s Superyacht Sets the Scene
Adding to the opulence, Bezos’s $500 million superyacht—on which the couple was spotted days earlier in Croatia—is rumored to have played a key role in the logistics and luxury surrounding the event. Whether transporting guests or simply acting as a floating retreat, the yacht added an unmistakable layer of billionaire sophistication to the weekend.
