Aston Martin’s revolutionary hypercar, Valhalla, made its first-ever dynamic public appearance yesterday on the legendary Monaco street circuit ahead of the Formula 1® Grand Prix weekend. Driven by two-time Formula 1® World Champion and Aston Martin Aramco F1® Team driver Fernando Alonso, the Valhalla thrilled spectators as it powered through Casino Square and the Monaco Tunnel, marking a historic moment for the iconic British brand.
This appearance follows Valhalla’s completion of final validation testing and signifies its transition from static display to on-track performance. Developed in close collaboration with Aston Martin Performance Technologies, the Valhalla incorporates state-of-the-art Formula 1®-derived innovations in aerodynamics, dynamics, and lightweight materials.
Painted in a stunning AMR25-inspired Podium Green with Lime Green accents, the Valhalla was pushed to its limits by Alonso, who has been closely involved in its development for the past 18 months. “Valhalla is a true supercar, both on road and on track,” said Alonso. “It captures the raw emotion and performance you expect from a car of this caliber.”
Valhalla represents a number of firsts for Aston Martin: it’s the brand’s first series-production mid-engine supercar, first plug-in hybrid, and first to feature a dedicated EV range. It is powered by a bespoke 4.0L twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 – the most powerful V8 ever fitted to an Aston Martin – paired with an all-new 8-speed Dual Clutch Transmission and electric motors on both axles, delivering a combined output of 1079 PS and 1100 Nm of torque.
