Adam Al Azhari and August Ryberg debut at Yas Marina Circuit with Yas Heat Racing Team during the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, as the Formula 4 Middle East Championship heads into its second Trophy Round of the 2024/2025 season.
The Formula 4 Middle East Trophy returns during the 2024 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend. Yas Heat Racing Team, based in Abu Dhabi and headquartered at Yas Marina Circuit, will participate in the race with its team ambassadors, showcasing some of the UAE’s brightest motorsport talents.
Earlier this year, the team welcomed two rising stars in single-seater racing, Adam Al Azhari and August Ryberg, both 15 years old, who will make their debut for Yas Heat this weekend. Adam Al Azhari, who enjoyed a successful season in the Spanish F4 Championship last year, aims to hone his skills during this pivotal weekend as he races for the first time at the circuit where his career began. Joining him is August Ryberg, whose rise through the junior categories has caught the attention of talent scouts, marking his debut at Yas Marina Circuit.
The weekend will also feature Yas Heat ambassadors Amna and Hamda Al Qubaisi. The Emirati sisters will compete in the final round of the Formula 1 Academy series. Hamda returns to Yas Marina Circuit with the Red Bull team for her second season in the series, currently holding sixth place. Meanwhile, Amna, racing under Visa Cash Up RP, continues to inspire young girls across the UAE to pursue motorsport careers.
Francesca Bardini, Senior Specialist at Yas Heat Racing Team, expressed her excitement for the team’s new talents ahead of the race:
“This season marks a new chapter for Yas Heat Racing Team, with a mix of experienced drivers and emerging talents ready to take on the challenge. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix offers an unparalleled platform for them to showcase their skills and progress in front of the world’s best racers—paving the way for a strong season ahead.”
The Formula 4 Middle East Championship officially kicks off on January 17 at Kuwait Motor Town, with rounds taking place at various circuits across the region, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, before concluding at a yet-to-be-announced venue.
As Yas Heat Racing Team steps onto the international stage, it continues to strengthen motorsport in the UAE by scouting, developing, and inspiring young talent, solidifying Yas Marina Circuit’s reputation as a global hub for motorsport development.
