Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled the Phantom Arabesque, a one-of-one masterpiece curated by Private Office Dubai, marking the world’s first laser-engraved bonnet. This unique commission transforms traditional Middle Eastern architecture into a sculptural automotive expression, merging heritage with contemporary craftsmanship. Inspired by Mashrabiya latticework, Phantom Arabesque celebrates the balance of beauty and function, privacy, light regulation, and airflow—translated into a vehicle that embodies cultural elegance and innovation.
A Bonnet Like No Other

The laser-engraved bonnet is a historic first for Rolls-Royce. Using a patented technique inspired by the Italian sgraffito method, the process layers a darker base, seals it beneath clear coats, and then applies a lighter top layer. The Mashrabiya pattern is engraved just 145–190 microns deep, revealing the underlying tone and creating a subtle 3D surface that changes with light. Each section is hand-sanded to achieve exceptional refinement and durability, turning the bonnet into a true work of art.
Exterior: A Symphony of Geometry and Craftsmanship
Finished in a bespoke two-tone of Diamond Black and Silver, Phantom Arabesque features:
A hand-painted short coachline with Mashrabiya motifs
Illuminated Pantheon Grille with Dark Chrome surround
Uplifted Spirit of Ecstasy

Every detail evokes architectural geometry, seamlessly blending the regional aesthetic with the marque’s signature luxury.
Interior: Heritage in Every Detail
The geometric language continues inside the cabin:
Gallery spanning the front fascia, showcasing intricate marquetry from Blackwood and Black Bolivar wood
Selby Grey and Black leather finishes
Mashrabiya motifs embroidered on the headrests
Starlight Doors trimmed with Selby Grey piping
Illuminated treadplates echoing the bonnet engraving
This immersive interior reflects the craftsmanship and cultural identity of the Middle East, while maintaining Rolls-Royce’s timeless elegance and attention to detail.
A Landmark Expression of Regional Identity
Delivered to its commissioning client in the Middle East, Phantom Arabesque stands as a singular expression of innovation, luxury, and heritage. By translating centuries-old architectural language into contemporary automotive design, Rolls-Royce has created a car that is not just a vehicle, but a symbol of identity, artistry, and bespoke elegance.
