Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah hosted a Ramadan Iftar in Madaba today for a group of distinguished women from the governorate, active in various fields.

During the gathering, Her Majesty extended her Ramadan greetings, saying, “Ramadan Mubarak, may Allah accept your fasting. A blessed fast to our Christian brothers and sisters as well. I always say that Madaba is a model of diversity, authenticity, and beauty. It carries a history spanning thousands of years, told through its museums, archaeological sites, and neighborhoods.”
She added, “The mosaics that we see in every corner of Madaba are not just historical artifacts that narrate the story of this land, but they are also Madaba’s identity, representing its essence. Thank you, Madaba, for all the beauty and goodness you offer. You have always shared the bounty of your wheat and fertile lands.”
Governor of Madaba, Faisal Al-Masaeed, expressed his gratitude to Her Majesty for this generous initiative, bringing together women from various fields at one Ramadan table. He also praised Her Majesty’s continuous efforts in empowering women and strengthening the community.
The Iftar was also attended by Dr. Salem Abu Qaoud, Director of Prince Hashim bin Abdullah II Youth City in Madaba.
