The Armani Group is pleased to announce the opening of its first Giorgio Armani boutique in Manama, Bahrain.
Located on the first floor of the Marassi Galleria Mall in Manama, the capital of the island nation of Bahrain, long a key trading centre for the Persian Gulf, the new Giorgio Armani boutique is the first in the city and covers an area of 280 square metres.
Designed by Giorgio Armani with his team of architects the store features sophisticated elements typical of the Armani aesthetic: floors are in marble- and onyx-effect and coordinate with wall coverings in fine-textured silk wallpaper from the Armani/Casa collection. The ceiling is in marmorino, which echoes the colours and veining of the wallpaper and floors in the different areas within the boutique. Furnishings – shelves, tables and display units – are platinum-coloured and feature resin and metallic wood.
The façade features a backlit silk wallpaper look that anticipates the appearance of the internal walls. A transparent vestibule, flanked by two side windows, welcomes the customer into the boutique. A band in a vibrant platinum-colour with a ‘galvanized’ finish sits atop the façade, featuring the luminous Giorgio Armani logo, while platinum Giorgio Armani monograms are displayed either side of the entrance.
The store is divided into a succession of three rooms, each accessed through large portals in the platinum-coloured ‘galvanized’ finish that lead the customer through the space. The first two areas are dedicated to the women’s collections, while the last hosts the men’s collection. Each room is characterised by a particular colour palette expressed both through the architectural finishing and the furniture and furnishings. The colour variations help to differentiate the three areas and create distinct environments within the boutique.
The first space, defined by a green/gold palette, is distinguished by two presentation niches featuring a special fabric on the background and providing a focus at the entrance of the boutique. The second space is more enveloping and intimate and has tones ranging from blue to green. The last room, defined by a silver palette with contrasting oak wood surfaces, has a warm and masculine feel and features a lounge in the central area and an atmospheric LED wall.
The store is home to a wide range of products including ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes and eyewear for men and women, evening dresses, Armani/Privé fragrances and men’s formal wear.
