Abu Dhabi is set to capture the world’s attention once again as the Longines League of Nations™ and The Emirates Jumping Cup return to the capital from 11–15 February 2026, hosted at their exciting new home, the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club. Now in its third year, this premier equestrian event promises a blend of elite competition, record-breaking prize money, and unforgettable lifestyle experiences, making it one of the most anticipated moments on the international sporting calendar.
A Showcase of Top-Level Competition and Record Prize Money
Boasting an overall prize fund exceeding €1.3 million, the event is more than just a competition — it’s a celebration of equestrian excellence and high-adrenaline performance. The Longines League of Nations™ kicks off the 2026 season with the first of four qualifying rounds, setting the stage for October’s final in Barcelona. The series, supported by Longines, continues to define the benchmark for international team show jumping.
The Abu Dhabi leg will welcome world-class riders, including Olympic and championship medalists such as Simon Delestre, Daniel Deusser, and Sophie Hinners, all ranked in the top 25 of the Longines Rankings. Teams from Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, the USA, and hosts UAE will compete for glory, with the UAE fielding its proven quartet from 2025: Abdullah Mohd Al Marri, Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi, Abdullah Humaid Al Muhairi, and Humaid Abdulla Khalifa Al Muhairi.
Riders Speak: Passion, Pride, and Determination
Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi, the UAE Olympic finalist, expressed, “Finishing second last year meant a lot to us, and we’re proud of what we built together. We’re ready to give it our all once again on the world stage.”
Ireland’s Trevor Breen, a remarkable comeback story after a life-threatening injury, added, “Competing in the UAE has become a second home for me and my brother Shane. We’re excited to defend our title and challenge the best teams in the world.”
Thrilling Competition and Vibrant Social Experience
The Friday evening team competition will see eleven nations tackle a challenging 160cm course over two rounds, competing for a €700,000 class prize fund — the largest in the UAE. Alongside this main event, spectators can enjoy five additional CSIO5 classes*, CSI2*, Children, and Junior competitions, all culminating in Sunday’s Emirates Jumping Cup presented by Longines.
Beyond sport, arena entertainment by Z7 Show Horses will captivate audiences with dynamic performances blending equestrian artistry, heritage, and showmanship. A fresh take on the Team Parade will debut on Friday, 13 February, highlighting team spirit and national pride in a vibrant display.
Lifestyle, Leisure, and The Arcades Experience
Away from the arena, The Arcades at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club will remain open throughout the event, inviting visitors to explore curated retail brands, homegrown cafés, and relaxed social spaces. This combination of world-class sport and lifestyle experiences ensures that the Longines League of Nations™ and Emirates Jumping Cup remain not just a sporting highlight, but a cultural and social celebration in the heart of Abu Dhabi.
With record prize money, elite riders, and an engaging social programme, this year’s edition promises to cement Abu Dhabi’s position as a premier destination for international equestrian excellence.
