Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited Mar Mansour Charity Association in Amman today, joining a number of children benefiting from the association in celebrating Christmas.
The visit was attended by Mr. Suhail Kalis, Chairman of the Board of Mar Mansour Charity Association; Mr. Karim Bouab, Vice Chairman; Sister Daniela; Sister Elena Farah; Director of Mar Mansour, Sister Balsam Frasso; as well as a number of nuns and association staff.
During the visit, Her Majesty observed the children’s activities at the association and participated in some of the festive events organized by the Jordan Children’s Museum, including making Christmas tree decorations, glass snow globes, Christmas wreaths, and gingerbread house decorating. She also accompanied the children while distributing gifts and engaged in conversations with the nuns and children about the Christmas tree.
Mar Mansour Charity Association was established in 1957 with the aim of supporting the poor, educating their children, caring for underprivileged families, and housing and nurturing children in need. The Children’s Home was built in 1974 and has since hosted over 600 children aged 3 to 18 years.
