A Private Tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum
Her Majesty and Princess Salma joined a guided tour through the museum’s galleries, discovering the treasures that tell the story of ancient Egypt.
Among the most striking exhibits was the complete collection of King Tutankhamun, featuring over 5,000 artifacts displayed together for the first time since their discovery.
Visitors were also captivated by the 83-ton granite statue of Pharaoh Ramses II, the solar boats of King Khufu, and numerous restored antiquities unveiled to the public for the very first time.
The World’s Largest Archaeological Museum
The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) stands today as the largest archaeological museum dedicated to a single civilization.
Its foundation stone was laid in 2002, and construction was completed in 2023.
Beyond its galleries, the museum includes a children’s museum, a 3D cinema, a conference center, restaurants, and retail spaces—blending culture, education, and luxury in one extraordinary destination.
The museum is set to officially open its doors to the public on November 4, marking a new era for Egypt’s cultural tourism.
