Kia has officially unveiled the PV5, a next-generation Purpose-Built Vehicle (PBV), at IVEX Studio in Gwangmyeong. The PV5 is part of Kia’s global strategy to offer flexible, sustainable mobility solutions tailored to real-world needs.

Designed Around Customers Kia gathered feedback from over 120 global business clients to shape the PV5. Features like a foldable passenger seat, stain-resistant materials, and a wheelchair-accessible version were designed based on real operational input.
Flexible, Modular Design Built on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, the PV5 supports modular production, allowing up to 16 variants from a limited number of parts. Whether it’s for cargo, passengers, or mixed use, the vehicle adapts to various needs with ease.
Electric Performance The PV5 offers three battery choices: 43.3kWh, 51.5kWh, and 71.2kWh. All come with a 120kW motor delivering 250Nm torque, built into a platform that ensures a flat floor, spacious interior, and enhanced safety.
Smart Technology for Real Mobility With Android Automotive, integrated fleet management tools, and an open platform for add-ons, the PV5 creates a customizable and connected mobility experience.
Production Timeline Production begins this month with cargo and long-body passenger models. Future variants like PV7 and PV9 will expand the lineup in coming years.
Conclusion More than a vehicle, the Kia PV5 is a mobility solution built to grow with customers’ needs—modular, electric, and truly flexible.
