Dubai is set to transform its coastline once again with the launch of its most extensive beach development to date. Spanning 6.6 kilometers, the upcoming Jebel Ali Beach will mark a significant addition to the city’s public beach network, contributing to its larger objective of expanding accessible beachfronts to 105 kilometers by the year 2040.
Nestled along the serene waters of the Arabian Gulf, this 330-hectare destination will offer more than just sand and sea. Visitors can expect an immersive experience featuring walking and cycling trails, scenic rest areas, and a wide selection of dining options. Notably, the project is designed with environmental consciousness in mind, incorporating protected zones for mangroves and a dedicated turtle conservation area.
Jointly spearheaded by Dubai Municipality and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the initiative reflects the priorities of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. The beach will be divided into two primary areas: a 1.6 km eco-tourism zone promoting wildlife preservation, and a 5 km leisure zone filled with family-friendly attractions and outdoor sports facilities.
As Dubai continues to reshape its urban landscape, the Jebel Ali Beach stands as a promising symbol of balance between progress and preservation.
