FUSE, a pioneering UAE-based startup, has announced the global launch of the first-ever fully electric and high-performance Nissan Patrol. This groundbreaking initiative redefines the iconic off-road SUV, especially popular across the Middle East, with a modern eco-conscious twist. Manufactured in the UAE for the local market, the updated Nissan Patrol retains its renowned levels of luxury, power, and ruggedness—making it the world’s only electric version of this legendary off-road vehicle.
The project, led by FUSE’s mission to convert internal combustion vehicles into fully electric ones, involved meticulous updates using original parts and environmentally friendly materials—all while preserving the authentic essence of the SUV. The transformation includes a dual battery system with a 110 kWh capacity sourced from Fellten (UK), a revamped suspension setup with an ARB lift kit, a plant-based leather interior, electric steering and braking systems, and 34-inch Cooper tires. These enhancements position the classic Nissan Patrol Y60 for a bold leap into a greener automotive future.
The launch aligns with the UAE’s growing push toward carbon neutrality and sustainable transportation. With global shifts favoring greener mobility, FUSE’s introduction of an electric variant of the long-running Nissan Patrol series reflects a forward-thinking vision for the automotive sector in the region.
Equipped with a 600-horsepower electric motor, the electric Patrol surpasses the performance of its gasoline predecessor on both urban roads and rugged terrain. It is now the fastest electric classic SUV for off-road driving in the UAE. FUSE engineered this model with a lighter body than the original, optimizing it for the UAE’s harsh climate and demanding landscapes.
