SEE Holding, a global pioneer in sustainable urban development and the visionary force behind the world-renowned Sustainable City model, has announced a strategic partnership with Micropolis Holding, a company specialized in the design and manufacturing of advanced robotics and AI systems. The collaboration aims to accelerate the integration of intelligent systems within the infrastructure of Sustainable City 2.0, a next-generation, AI-driven, zero-emission urban model focused on enhancing human well-being and quality of life.
Unveiled earlier this month, Sustainable City 2.0 builds upon SEE Holding’s internationally recognized framework. Designed to think, evolve, and adapt, the new city model incorporates AI at its core to establish a resilient, adaptive environment prepared for the future. The AI integration enhances performance across critical sectors including food security, energy, water, waste management, and mobility, while also supporting health, education, and innovation.

This partnership combines SEE’s vision for a net-zero living environment with Micropolis’s technological expertise in advanced robotics, AI-powered surveillance systems, smart mobility applications, and edge computing nodes that allow for fast and efficient data processing. Together, they will create a smart infrastructure that enhances safety, improves operational efficiency, and elevates the overall living experience within SEE Holding’s growing portfolio of sustainable cities.
Engineer Faris Saeed, Chairman and CEO of SEE Holding, stated:
“Through Sustainable City 2.0, we are building an urban blueprint for a smarter, more climate-resilient future. Our strategic partnership with Micropolis will allow us to deliver a seamless, AI-powered infrastructure that contributes to creating cities that are smarter, more connected, and deeply focused on human well-being—serving the needs of both current and future generations.”
Over the past decade, SEE Holding has supported Micropolis by providing a living lab at its Dubai-based Sustainable City project. This enabled Micropolis to develop and refine its robotic platforms, autonomous systems, and AI-driven capabilities in a real-world environment.
Fred Al Johari, CEO of Micropolis Holding, commented:
“The Sustainable City provided a real and dynamic environment for us to test and enhance our technologies. It played a crucial role in advancing our current platforms and intelligent systems. We are extremely proud to collaborate on Sustainable City 2.0 and look forward to expanding this partnership globally with advanced automation tailored for future cities.”
For over 10 years, the Sustainable City model has set a global benchmark in sustainable urban living. The Dubai-based city achieved a 78% reduction in carbon emissions and diverted 89% of waste from landfills. Now, with Sustainable City 2.0, that legacy continues through a scalable, AI-enhanced blueprint for the cities of tomorrow.
