SEE Holding, the global leader in sustainable community development and creator of the original “The Sustainable City” model, has unveiled its next-generation project — The Sustainable City 2.0 (TSC 2.0) — at the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress 2025 in Abu Dhabi. This futuristic urban model introduces a new era of smart cities powered by artificial intelligence, designed for zero emissions and focused on residents’ well-being.

A decade after redefining sustainable urban planning, SEE Holding presents a city that thinks, adapts, and evolves. TSC 2.0 integrates AI into its core to create a flexible, resilient, and future-ready environment. Key features include smart systems for environmental sustainability, vertical farming, precision agriculture, and clean energy sources like solar, biogas, wind, and micro-hydro systems. AI-powered smart grids will balance energy supply and demand in real time.
Water conservation is optimized using advanced tech, including leak detection, air-to-water generation, and efficient irrigation. Waste will be reused, recycled, or converted into energy, promoting a circular economy. The urban climate will remain cooler thanks to intelligent design and wind turbines, and mobility will be fully electric and autonomous — from cars and buses to delivery robots and drone landing pads at every home.
TSC 2.0 will also feature health-focused infrastructure, solar-heated pools, energy-efficient gyms, and interactive educational facilities. Healthcare will be proactive, using digital monitoring systems for early intervention.
Engineer Faris Saeed, Chairman and CEO of SEE Holding, stated:
“This is not a futuristic vision — it is a real model built today with AI, net-zero targets, and human-centered design. The Sustainable City 2.0 reflects over a decade of expertise, placing people at the heart of smart, AI-driven progress.”
The first Sustainable City in Dubai achieved a 78% carbon emissions reduction and diverted 89% of waste from landfills, becoming the “happiest community in the GCC.” The model has since expanded to Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Oman.
AIM 2025 takes place from April 7–9, offering visitors an immersive experience to explore the features of this next-generation city.
