After a 14-year hiatus, Louis Vuitton is bringing back one of its most distinctive heritage experiences: the Louis Vuitton Dolomites Classic Run 2026, a celebration where luxury, automotive heritage, craftsmanship, and the art of travel come together.
Scheduled from September 1 to 4, 2026, the exclusive event will take participants on a breathtaking journey through Italy, beginning near Venice and crossing the spectacular Dolomite mountains before reaching the legendary Monza circuit ahead of the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix.
A Legendary Tradition Returns
The Louis Vuitton Classic Run first began in 1993, creating a unique connection between the maison’s heritage of travel and the world of exceptional automobiles. Over the years, the rally travelled through iconic destinations including Malaysia, France, China, Italy, and Central Europe, before its last edition in 2012.
Now, under the leadership of Louis Vuitton Chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari, the maison is reviving this legendary tradition with a new chapter dedicated to elegance, precision, and the timeless beauty of classic cars.
A Journey Through Italian Beauty
The 2026 edition will feature a carefully curated route of approximately 600 kilometres, taking drivers through some of Italy’s most breathtaking landscapes, including the UNESCO-listed Dolomites. Unlike a traditional speed competition, the event celebrates precision, consistency, and the mastery of driving classic automobiles.
Only 25 historic cars will participate, representing legendary eras of automotive design and craftsmanship. Models from prestigious manufacturers such as Bugatti, Maserati, and Ferrari are expected to take part, highlighting the connection between mechanical excellence and luxury heritage.
Louis Vuitton’s Longstanding Love for Automobiles
The maison’s relationship with the automotive world dates back more than a century. In 1897, Georges Vuitton created the Malle Auto, a trunk specially designed for the needs of early motorists, marking one of the earliest expressions of Louis Vuitton’s commitment to travel innovation.
Today, the return of the Classic Run reflects the brand’s ongoing vision of transforming travel into an unforgettable experience, where culture, craftsmanship, and adventure meet.

Beyond the road journey, the event will celebrate Italian craftsmanship and cultural heritage through exclusive stops, including historic locations and Louis Vuitton’s Italian workshops. The winning team will receive a special trophy presented inside a bespoke Louis Vuitton trunk, continuing the maison’s iconic tradition of celebrating victories through the art of travel.
